Vivian Kay (Smith) or (Hefley) Miller, lovingly known as VK, was born on August 2, 1953, in Raton, New Mexico, to Bill Matthew Smith and Lucy Eva Starkovich. VK passed on February 1, 2026 in Ada, Oklahoma at 72 years.
VK was raised in Raton, where she spent her early years before moving to Antlers, Oklahoma, where she attended high school and graduated in 1971.
Throughout her life, VK wore many hats and filled each role with dedication and heart. She worked as a hairstylist, secretary and was employed by the City of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Of all her roles, one of her favorites was being a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home for those she loved.
VK enjoyed the outdoors and found great joy in hunting and fishing. She was also known for her cooking, especially her delicious Mexican chicken casserole, a dish that became a favorite among family and friends. More than anything, VK lived by a simple but powerful lesson she shared freely with others: never pass up the chance to tell someone how you feel about them.
Her kindness, sincerity, and love for family and friends will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
VK was survived by her Sons; Cody Hefley and wife Stacie, Jody Miller and significant other Anita Carnell, Dusty Hefley and wife Jill; Brother, Henry "Bimbo" Smith; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other friends and family.
