Tommy Lee Day, a lifelong resident of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on March 12, 1958, to Freddie Ray Day Sr. and Faye Marvine (Coyle) Day, Tommy grew up with a love for the outdoors, music, and hands-on craftsmanship that defined much of his life.
Tommy was a proud graduate of Pauls Valley High School, Class of 1976. During his school years, he played in the band and enjoyed countless camping trips with his family in their Airstream trailer. He had a lifelong fondness for adventure, from riding ATVs to building and shooting black powder rifles.
Though he pursued higher education at both the University of Wyoming and the University of Oklahoma, Tommy ultimately found his path working with his hands and his heart. He began his career working alongside his father at Day's Wood Products in Pauls Valley, before spending nearly two decades as a Hydraulic Engineer at Bullseye Precision Design & Fabrication. His work ethic, ingenuity, and passion for fabrication left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Tommy had a deep love for creating—whether it was custom firearms, hand-loaded ammunition, or the perfect homemade eggroll. He also expressed his creativity through music, playing both the guitar and mandolin with joy and skill. But above all, the highlights of Tommy's life were his children and grandchildren, whom he loved deeply and spoke of often with pride and affection.
Tommy's spirit lives on in the memories shared by those who knew him best. His legacy is one of quiet strength, creativity, and an unwavering devotion to family.
He will be deeply missed.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Ray Day Sr. and Faye Marvine (Coyle) Day; and Brothers, Danny Alan Day and Freddie Ray Day Jr.
Tommy is survived by his son, Phillip Day of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Daughter, Jessica (Day) Collier and husband Steven of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Kasen and Keelan Collier; and beloved friend and mother of his children, Susan Mann of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
