Sidney D. Bales of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Delbert Dayton and Dorothy Marie (Moody) Bales on March 20, 1949, in Madill, Oklahoma and passed from this life on October 17, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.
Sid grew up and attended school in Madill, Oklahoma and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He obtained his Bachelor's degree at Southwestern State in Weatherford. Sid was a high school math and computer teacher for many years. On August 23, 1969, Sid married Sharon Louise Young at the Rockwood Baptist Church in Oklahoma City where he had been saved at the age of 12. He was a member of the Elmore City First Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and fixing things. The highlights of his life were his children and grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Elmore City First Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Reed officiating.
