Shirley June Cook Burns was born on July 9th,1947 and passed away on December 12th, 2020. Shirley was born in Pauls Valley, OK to Elbert and Dorothy Cook. Shirley was raised in Elmore City, OK where she graduated in 1965. Shirley attended East Central State College and Lela's Beauty School, both in Ada, OK. She then went to work at Brockway Glass Plant where she made many life long friends. Shirley's pride and joy were her two Boys, Jeff and Jeremy.

Shirley moved to Simi Valley, CA in 1985 and then returned to Oklahoma, where she lived the last 5 years with her Son Jeff. Shirley was always proud to be an Okie, she loved to laugh and make others laugh, had a kind heart, was a helper, and loved to cook. Shirley loved sports and was a big OKC Thunder fan.


She liked old TV westerns, The Golden Girls, loved to go to the beauty shop and enjoyed delivering flowers. While living in California, she enjoyed spending time in Rosarita, Mexico. Shirley loved her pets Blaine and Bost and they will miss her greatly. Shirley was preceded in death by her Parents, her Sister, Maizie Pace and her Brother, Rickie Lee Cook. Shirley is survived by her 2 Sons, Jeff Burns and Jeremy Burns (Tara.) A Graveside service will be held at The Elmore City Cemetery on Friday December 18th, 2020 at 2:00 PM


Visitation is Wednesday at Wooster Funeral Home in Elmore City OK from 1 to 5 and Thursday from 9 am to 7 pm
