Roy Andrew Standridge of Lindsay, Oklahoma was born to Houston and Edna (Cunningham) Standridge on September 16, 1945 in Chickasha, Oklahoma and passed from this life on April 7, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years.
Roy was raised in Amber, Oklahoma. He moved to Lindsay, Oklahoma his freshman year of high school, graduating in 1963. He attended Oklahoma State University where he completed flight training school. He was owner/operator of River Steel and former John Deere dealer. On January 30, 1965, Roy married Cynthia (Cindy) Gruber in Chickasha, Oklahoma. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed woodworking, motor homing, chasing after and attending his grandkids events. He was past President of Lindsay J.C.S., and Lindsay School Board, Rotary Club Member, Sunday School Superintendent, Media Coordinator and Trustee of First Baptist Church of Lindsay, and Board member of First United Bank of Pauls Valley.

10 grandchildren: Allie, Jake, Rex, Garet, Ryan, Tate, Rhet, Knox, Kade Standridge and Colton Gruber

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma with nephew Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Interment will be in the Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
