Obituary

Rebekah Grace Grissam was born on June 10, 2009, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Alaina (Boney) Ealey and Corey Grissam. Surrounded by the love of her family and friends, Rebekah lived a life full of joy, faith, creativity, and adventure. She passed from this life far too soon on June 12, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 17.
Rebekah had just completed her junior year at Lindsay High School and was eagerly looking forward to her senior year. Throughout her school years, she attended schools in Edmond, Dibble, and ultimately Lindsay, where she found a community she loved. Rebekah had big plans to go to college at Oklahoma University for music education and be a part of the Pride of Oklahoma.
Growing up, Rebekah enjoyed swimming, playing basketball, camping, attending church camp, and spending time with her Nana and grandparents. Rebekah loved traveling and going on cruises, enjoying every opportunity to experience life to the fullest.
As a proud participant in the Chickasaw Nation Youth Program, Project Toksali, Rebekah gained work experience through summer employment within the Chickasaw Nation. Rebekah worked at Savvy Parke Boutique and most recently at Pride Popcorn in Purcell, Oklahoma where she loved to create her own popcorn mixes.
At Lindsay High School, Rebekah was an active member of the band, where she played the trombone with skill. Music was one of her greatest passions and she loved singing worship songs, listening to music, and expressing herself through art, drawing, and painting. Rebekah also enjoyed anime, scouting, and creating silly videos with her cousin, Sadie that brought laughter to those around her.
Some of Rebekah's favorite memories were made during simple moments with the people she loved. She cherished coffee shop dates with her mom, always ordering a matcha and eventually convincing her mom to try one too. She loved arcade outings, roller skating, and spending time with her four brothers. She treasured her friendship with Alexis, whom she made memories with at school, church, and band. Rebekah was baptized alongside her mother at Life. Church, a meaningful milestone in her faith journey.
Family was at the center of Rebekah's life. She loved baking cookies at her grandparents' house, making chicken Alfredo with her mom, enjoying ramen, and occasionally whipping up a batch of brownies. Her warm heart, bright spirit, and infectious smile left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Though her time here was brief, Rebekah taught those around her important lessons about forgiveness, courage, and embracing life. She showed others how to face their fears, extend grace to others, and find joy in everyday moments.
Rebekah's memory will forever be cherished by her loving family, friends, classmates, church family, coworkers, and all who were blessed to know her. While her absence leaves an undeniable void, her faith, kindness, laughter, and love will continue to shine in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Rebekah is survived by her mother, Alaina (Boney) Ealey and husband Stone of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and her father, Corey Grissam and wife Mylinda of Edmond, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her siblings, Jayden Baker, Noah Grissam, Gideon Grissam, and Ayden McClure; Grandparents, Michael and Darcie Boney of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Jimmy and Opal Grissam of Sulphur, Oklahoma; Uncles, Toby Grissam and wife Crystal of South Carolina, Bryan Boney and wife Amber of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Michael Brown and fiancé Destinie of Lawton, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and friends.
Rebekah was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal great-grandparents.
