Patricia was born on September 28, 1928, in Ratliff City, Oklahoma. She was the third child born into the family of Oscar and Thelma Cross. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Joanna (Francis) Thomas, and brothers Buster (Buck), Victor, Perry, and Terry Cross.
Patricia graduated in 1946 from Burrows High School, located in Stephens County, Oklahoma. And, May 17, 1947, she married Doc "Dugie" Cole Jr. of Pernell, Oklahoma. Eventually, they purchased a farm near Tussy, Oklahoma, where they lived for 39 years until Dugie's death in 1986. Eleven years later, Patricia married Kenneth Seals of Fox, Oklahoma, where they lived until his passing in 2005.
As a woman of strong Christian faith, Patricia was a devoted member of Midway Baptist Church in Tussy, Oklahoma, where she was a pianist for many years. She also played the mandolin and was a member of a gospel trio who performed in churches throughout the area.
She had many passions, including cooking, baking, crocheting, reading, bookkeeping, and gardening. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth and the aroma of her homemade chocolate layer cakes, pecan pies, yeast rolls, and peanut brittle. Yes, family and friends always enjoyed her various treats.
In addition, Patricia worked several years as a clerk for the United States Postal Service in Tussy and Hennepin, Oklahoma. However, her greatest role was as a homemaker and caretaker for those she loved. She was always ready to lend a helping hand.
