Mueton Bostic

Mueton Bostic of Wynnewood, Oklahoma was born on October 7, 1922 to Jim Cheatham and Fannie (Ward) Bostic in Foster, Oklahoma and passed from this life on September 20, 2007 at the age of 84 years. Mueton grew up and attended school in Foster, Elmore City and Stratford, Oklahoma. Wynnewood has been his home for the past 59 years. Mueton married Wanda Mignon Prather on February 8, 1943 in Purcell, Oklahoma. He served in the CCC in Cody, Wyoming prior to serving his country in the United States Army in Hawaii during World War II. Mueton was a plant operator for Sohio Oil Company for 39 years. He enjoyed horses and won the award for the oldest rider participating in the Table Top Mountain Trail Ride. Mr. Bostic is survived by: 2 Sons: Jerry Bostic and his wife Carol of Okeene, Oklahoma Joe Bostic and Melissa Eaves of Lone Grove, Oklahoma 1 Daughter: Pat LaMascus and her husband Tommy of Wynnewood, Oklahoma 1 sister: Veda Lewelling of Stratford, Oklahoma Grandchildren: Beth Ann Hammett and husband Mike of Dickinson, Texas; Mike LaMascus and wife Becki of Coweta, Oklahoma; Brigette Bostic of Glenpool, Oklahoma; Amber McElhaney and husband Mike of Keifer, Oklahoma; Joe Keith Bostic and wife Terisa of Yukon, Oklahoma; Jerry Bostic and wife Tara of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Patti Hunt and husband Stefan of Blanchard, Oklahoma Great-Grandchildren: Trey Tackett and wife Cynthia of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Zach Hammett of Dickinson, Texas; Clayton Entz and Grace McElhaney of Keifer, Oklahoma; Braden Bostic and Graci Idleman of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Austin and Preslee Hunt of Blanchard, Oklahoma; Sara and Shelbi LaMascus of Coweta, Oklahoma Great-Great-grandson: Tyson Tackett of Wynnewood, Oklahoma Mr. Bostic was preceded in death by: Wife: Wanda Bostic Parents: Jim and Fannie Bostic Brothers: Willie, Ed, Ted, Cal, Buck and Jim Bostic Sisters: Liz Graves, Annie Bostic, Vinnie Martin and Polly Lovelace Funeral services for Mueton Bostic are scheduled for Monday, September 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma with Rev. Danny Gamble and Rev. Kip Heatley officiating. Interment will be in the McGee Cemetery in Stratford, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
