Orange Michael Welborn was born June 4th, 1953 in Ada Oklahoma to Dr. Orange M. & Wilma Jo (Walker) Welborn. He had two siblings, Jo Ellen and Jane Elizabeth "Biffy" Welborn. He attended Kemper Military Academy in Booneville, Missouri, and graduated from Ada High School in 1971. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in radiologic technology. He taught and directed a radiological technology program at East Central University. He worked for over 20 years as the department chief of radiology at Pauls Valley General Hospital and retired from there in 2010. Mike was also a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Ada, OK.

In 1989, Mike married the love of his life, Debra Waunice (Romine) Welborn. Mike and Debbie raised 3 children together, Toby Mantooth, Jason Mantooth, and Jo (Welborn) Stone. They have 6 grandchildren, Ezekial, Brody, Collin, Kinley, Lily, and Felix.

Mike died in Pauls Valley on January 13th, 2020 at the age of 66. He is proceeded in death by his mother, father, and his stepson Jason.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 26th, In the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Kenney officiating.
