Mary L. Simmons was born to Harry and Bertha (Nix) Mapes on April 25, 1938 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and passed from this life on November 21, 2019 at the age of 81 years.
Mary grew up and attended school at Wynnewood, Oklahoma. On March 19, 1960, Mary married Freddie Simmons in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Together they made their home in Moore, Oklahoma for about 10 years before moving to Pauls Valley. In 1984, Mary and Freddie moved to Elmore City. She worked as the secretary for Jackson Elementary School for over 15 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and sewing.
