Obituary

Linda Gay (Seratte) Anderson, born on December 27, 1944, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, passed away on February 16, 2025 in Muenster, Texas leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was the beloved daughter of John Franklin Seratte and Jewel Marie (Walker) Seratte.
After graduating from Pauls Valley High School, Linda went on to marry the love of her life, Carroll Jay Anderson, on August 9, 1969. Their marriage was filled with love and companionship until his passing in 2018.
Linda started her career at Sohio Petroleum and worked there many years before retiring from the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center, where she worked as a secretary in the psychology department. She was known for her strong work ethic, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her.
As a child, Linda had a love for riding horses and was known for being a bit ornery alongside her twin sister. Later in life, she enjoyed playing Bridge, attending Trinity Baptist Church in Pauls Valley, and traveling to her favorite destinations like San Antonio, Gulf Shores, Branson, and to Colorado with her sister. She found happiness in the simple things—cooking, reading, watching crime shows and football, and spending time with family. She especially loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events, cheering them on with pride.
Her family will forever remember the warmth of her kitchen and the special dishes she made with love—her famous chocolate gravy, cranberry salad, and homemade dressing to name a few. She had a fondness for Pepsi and Hershey bars, small joys that brought her comfort.
Above all, Linda treasured her children and grandchildren, finding her greatest joy in their lives. She taught those around her the value of hard work and the importance of happiness. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Jay Anderson and her parents, John and Jewel Seratte.
Linda is survived by her Son; Jonathan Anderson of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Daughter, Laura Smith and husband Shawn of Muenster, Texas; Sister, Glenda Plummer and husband Trent of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Grayson Anderson, Andrew Anderson, and Brody Anderson.
