Larry James Shirley of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Burel and Elsie (Stevenson) Shirley on August 10, 1953, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on January 27, 2024, in Davis, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years.
Larry grew up and attended school at Katie Elementary and Elmore City, Oklahoma. He farmed and ranched all of his life. Larry enjoyed many memorable moments with family, friends, during social events and strengthened them with others. Family cook outs, fishing, grocery shopping, church homecomings, and Elmore City, Oklahoma rodeos were some of Larry's favorite things to do. He loved life and he loved people.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley. Interment will be in the Sweet Home Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the Katie Community Center, Katie, Oklahoma.
