Juanita LaRue Sloan of Marlow, Oklahoma was born to Arso Clifton and Theora Newton (Looney) Ginn on August 25, 1928, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on April 8, 2023 in Duncan, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years.
Juanita grew up and attended school in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, graduating in 1946. She worked for Bell Telephone Company from 1946 -1959. On September 5, 1950, Juanita married Kenneth Sloan in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Over the years, she worked on the family farm and took care of her family. Juanita was a member of Joy Baptist Church and the church clerk for 35 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and crafts. She was a member of Joy Extension Homemakers for 50 years.

2 sons: Roger Sloan and Beverly of Amber, Oklahoma
Chris Sloan of Maysville, Oklahoma
2 daughters: Kay Pickering of Marlow, Oklahoma
Kim Lyons and Jeff of Telford, Tennessee
9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild
