Joyce grew up and attended school at Terral, Oklahoma. Joyce married Arllie McKee in Marlow, Oklahoma. She was a teacher at Delta Head Start and had a daycare in Duncan, Oklahoma. In her spare time, Joyce loved crafts, going to Hobby Lobby, and puzzles.

Daughter: Denise Kerr and James of Duncan, Oklahoma and their son: Ryder Kerr and Charlie of Duncan, Oklahoma
