Joyce Ann (Keeler) Balbantin was born on January 18th 1953 to Edward and Ruthie ( Henderson) Keeler. On February 23rd 1979 Joyce and her little boy Nathan married the love of her life and Nathan's new daddy Pablo Balbantin. From this union came two children Leticia Ann and Pablo Jr. Joyce was a fighter all her life and made sure things were always done her way and in her time. Joyce loved to spend time with her family, sewing, crossword puzzles and watching Christmas movies. She was very active in her kids schooling and was often PTA mom. Joyce began making cakes which she also enjoyed. She took pride in all she done and often even buckled the cakes she made in the seatbelt to make sure she got them delivered safely. She was the queen of her kitchen, and no one could do anything in her kitchen right. Sometimes her kids, daughter in laws or grandkids would try to help her but much to their surprise she would run them out. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she love to decorate her home for the holidays. Joyce is survived by her husband of 42 years 9 months and 14 days Pablo Balbantin of the home, Her son Nathan and wife Leslie of Tecumseh, Ok., Son Pablo Balbantin Jr. and wife Amanda of Elmore City Ok. 11 grandchildren and 6 great grand kids. Her mother Ruthie Keeler of Oklahoma City Ok, 2 brothers Gary Keeler of Bentley Ok., and Larry Keeler and wife Carla of Bentley Ok, and her one and only pester pot sister Margie Flores and husband Armando of Oklahoma City Ok. along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, Nieces and nephews. Joyce is preceded in death by her one and only daughter Leticia Ann Lara, her dad Edward Keeler, one grandchild Lilliana Lara, and a son in law Ramiro Lara
Graveside funeral services to give thanks for and celebrate the life of Joyce Ann Balbantin are scheduled for Saturday, December 11, at 2:00 p.m. in the Katie Cemetery with Bro. Brent Ables and Muguel Balvantin, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
