Johnnie Mack Grimes of Katie, Oklahoma was born to Roy H. and Juanita Bell (Grumbles) Grimes on October 15, 1937, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and passed from this life on April 20, 2022, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years.
Johnnie Mack grew up and attended school at Katie, Oklahoma. He graduated from Elmore City High School in 1956. Johnnie Mack married LaCoretta Young June 16, 1957, in Gainesville, Texas. Together they made their home in Katie. He worked as a manager for Wacker's in Pauls Valley, Durant and Kilgore, Texas. He also worked at SORC in maintenance for many years. Johnnie Mack farmed and ranched all of his life and enjoyed time spent on the farm and with family. He was also his wife's caregiver until her passing in 2011.

2 daughters: Reena Chapman and her husband David of Elmore City, Oklahoma
Jonnie McFadden and her husband Terry of Elmore City, Oklahoma
2 grandsons: Jared Chapman and wife Mandy and Chad McFadden and wife Lacey
2 granddaughters: Erin Chapman and Natalie Faucett and husband Jake
7 great-grandchildren: Evan Faucett, Emma Faucett, Cayden Chapman, Carsen Chapman, Parker McFadden, Bennett McFadden, and Griffin McFadden

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2022, at the Church of Christ in Elmore City, Oklahoma with Joe Terrell officiating.
