James Rudy Townsend of Wynnewood was born on November 07, 1949 in Big Springs, Texas to J.R. and Addie Marie (Johnson) Townsend and passed from this life on November 07, 2021.
Rudy went to various schools but met the love of his life at Doyle. On May 24, 1969, Rudy and June Condit were married at his grandparents home in Pernell. Rudy worked in the oilfield in his younger years from derrick hand to toolpusher. Later in life he went back to school and received his nursing degree and worked as a registered nurse at Professional Home Care in Pauls Valley. Rudy enjoyed fishing, watching Gunsmoke, shooting his guns, and caring for his animals. The most important thing in life for Rudy was to take care of his family.

Daughters – Tabitha and husband Chris Jones and Haley and husband Brian Lamb
Mother – Marie Piloni
Grandchildren – Samantha Townsend, Brannum Townsend, Matthew Townsend, Isaiah Esquibel, David Esquibel, Brittany and husband Henry Cruz, Sicily Townsend, Piper Keizor, Townsend Keizor, & Paedyn Keizor
Sister – Sharon and husband Jim Lovell
Also thought of as a son – Tony Adams
A host of nieces and nephews and special family and friends
Rudy was preceded in death by his father J. R. Townsend, son Jeremy Townsend, brother Gary Townsend, grandparents James & Hattie Townsend and grandchildren Victoria and Seth Esquibel
Funeral services for Rudy Townsend are scheduled for Tuesday, November 09 at 2:00 P.M. at Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Erwin officiating. Interment will be in Paoli Cemetery.
