James Byron McGregor of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Norman Edward and Minnie B. (Lee) McGregor on July 1, 1940 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on May 17, 2019 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.
James grew up and attended school in Elmore City, Oklahoma. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He later owned and operated a dairy. James owned and operated a machine shop in Davis and later Mac's Machine Shop in Pauls Valley, where his daughter, Tara, worked by his side for over 30 years. On October 15, 2005 James married Hazel Ramsey in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, hunting, beekeeping, and cattle ranching. The highlight of his life was his family.

3 step grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren
