Jackie Dale Franks of Pauls Valley passed away on June 19, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on March 17, 1932 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Virgil Everett and Mary Catherine (Hunt) Franks, Jack lived a long and productive life. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea and was awarded several medals and commendations, including the Korean Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, UN Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.
Jack and the love of his life, Barbara Ann (Steffan) were married 69 years at the time of his passing. He was a skilled diesel mechanic and served the Pauls Valley Public School system for many years repairing school buses. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and neighbors. Jack will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Jack is survived by his loving wife Barbara Franks and his sons Ron and Gary Franks.
Arrangements for cremation were under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
