Evelyn Naomi Henderson of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Robert Lincoln and Tina Haseltine (Bell) Orr on February 24, 1923, in Savanna, Oklahoma and passed from this life on June 17, 2023, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 100 years and 114 days.
Evelyn grew up in Pittsburg County, near Chun Creek in Savanna, Oklahoma, and moved to Tussy-Pernell area in the 1930's. She attended school at Pernell, along with her brother, R. L., Warren, Bobby Lee, and sister Gertrude. On July 15, 1939, Evelyn married Morris Henderson in Davis, Oklahoma. Evelyn was a homemaker, owner of Henderson's Antiques, and secretary for Henderson Construction. She was a long-time member of the Church of Christ. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed antique collecting. Her favorite time spent, however, was caring for and raising grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The highlights of her life were raising three children, love for her family, God, life, and being a lifelong Christian.
