Ethel Rabatin

Ethel went to her final resting place from complications from a previous surgery in Norman, Oklahoma on Monday, November 8th, 2010. She was born September 20th, 1925 in Akron, Ohio. Everyone from young to old was touched by the special place Ethel had for them in her heart. Ethel was an avid bowler for over 50 years, loved to play cards and games, spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a die hard Cleveland Browns fan. She passes on believing that the Browns will go to a Super Bowl and the Indians will go to the World Series some day soon. Ethel is survived by one sister, Betty Smith and her husband Otis of Akron, Ohio; one brother, Franklin D. Roy and his wife Sandie of Barberton, Ohio; six children – Andrew Carpenter of Portland, Oregon; Donald Carpenter of Akron, Ohio; Wilma and (Marlin) Flinn of Elmore City, Oklahoma; Harold and (Tina) Carpenter of Painesville, Ohio; James Carpenter and Patti Wilson of Madison, Ohio; and Roberta and (Ted) Travis of Elmore City, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind 11 beloved grandchildren ; Shawn Carpenter and family of Charolette, North Carolina; Eric Carpenter of Canal Fultun, Ohio; Devon Carpenter of Canal Fulton, Ohio; Frank Flinn and family of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Terri Wiggins and family of Elmore City, Oklahoma; Gene Drake and family of Madison, Ohio; Amy Drake and family of Painesville, Ohio; Jacob Carpenter of Baltimore, Maryland; Ellen Ruby and family of Baltimore, Maryland; Madison and Joshua Travis of Elmore City, Oklahoma and 12 great-grandchildren. Mourning her loss also are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family in Oklahoma and Ohio. Visiting hours are Tuesday, Nov. 9th from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 9th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Wooster Funeral Home in Elmore City.
