Donnie Dale Evans

Donnie Dale Evans of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was born to Charles Abram and Jimmie Pauline (Shaw) Evans on July 19, 1941 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on January 24, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years. Donnie grew up and attended school in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. During his teen years, Donnie worked for the Brewer family as projectionist at Royal Theatre. After graduation, he attended the University of Oklahoma and O.S.U. Tech. Donnie served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1960 until 1964. He worked for Western Electric for over thirty years as an electric testing engineer. Donnie developed a patent for A T & T that is still in use today by Lucent . Donnie owned and operated numerous sports clubs over the years in Oklahoma City. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and riding his Harley-Davidson. He was a fan of John Wayne and Elvis and especially enjoyed OU Athletics. The highlight of his life was being a businessman. Donnie was a man of his word and would help anyone. His door was always open to others. He will also be remembered for his great sense of humor. Mr. Evans is survived by: 2 sons: Donnie Evans, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Martin (Marty) Evans and his wife Tammy of Mustang, Oklahoma Daughter: Dena Roberts of Norman, Oklahoma Mother: Pauline Evans of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma Brothers: Charles Evans and his wife Katie of Minnesota Curtis Evans of Minnesota Jackie Evans and his wife Phyllis Evans of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Joe Evans and his wife Carla of Yukon, Oklahoma 2 sisters: Maethel Couch of Flint, Texas and Pat Sanders of Lindsay, Oklahoma 8 grandchildren: Donnie Evans, III, Logan Evans, Nathaniel Roberts, Jonathan Roberts, Eli Evans, Trevor and Billie Evans and Lauren Evans Mr. Evans was preceded in death by: Father: Charles Evans in 1997 Brother: Timothy Evans in 1997 Funeral services for Mr. Evans are scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel, 1601 S. Chickasaw, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma with Dr. Joe Elam officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
