Donna M. Gammill

Donna Bates Gammill of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born March 26, 1937 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Charles Noel and Bessie (Paden) Bates and passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22, 2012 in Pauls Valley at the age of 75 years. Donna’s childhood was spent with her brothers and sisters, and they moved several times, living in Drumright, Sapulpa, Wynnewood and Maysville. On October 22, 1955, Donna married Clyde Daniel ‘Dan” Gammill in Maysvile, Oklahoma. She worked many places during her lifetime, including J. C. Penney in Pauls Valley, the Oklahoma State Department of Human Services and Pauls Valley State School. Donna was very active in her church, Grace Baptist, and one of her favorite activities was spending time with her church family. She had fun traveling with her sisters and collecting antiques. Donna loved horses and enjoyed trail riding and caring for her animals. The highlight of Donna’s life was her children, family and the circle of friends at her church. Donna would have wanted more time here on earth only because that meant having more time to serve others and worship God. Mrs. Gammill is survived by: 3 sons: Michael Kent Gammill and his wife Shellie of Holdenville, Oklahoma Mark Eric Gammill and his wife Debra of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma Darin Keith Gammill of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma 1 daughter: Sarah Elizabeth Gammill of Guthrie, Oklahoma 6 grandchildren: Travis Walker Gammill and William Daniel Gammill Elise Marie Gammill Mears and her husband Chad Calla Mae Gammill Stephen Lane Gammill and Destiny Korryn Gammill 3 sisters: Juanita Estelle Nowlin and husband Jerrill of Eagle Pass, Texas; Carol Doreen Hinchey and husband, Bill of Gainesville, Texas; and Sharon Kay Reynolds of San Angelo, Texas. She is preceded in death by husband, Clyde Daniel “Dan” Gammill on November 14, 2005; her parents, Charles N. and Bessie Bates; her brothers, Charles Noel Bates, Jr., Arlen Keith Bates and Gary Dean Bates, and a nephew Charles Noel Bates III. Funeral servces are scheduled for Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest Friedl officiating. Interment will follow in Mt.
