DONA MARGARETTE LOYD
Margarette Loyd was born to Emery W. and Edith (Johnson) Long in Satterwhite, Oklahoma on September 12, 1930 and passed from this life on April 12, 2021 in Pauls Valley at the age of 90 years.
Margarette was tiny in stature but was a giant in so many ways. As an adult she worked as a caregiver of the elderly putting to use her skills acquired while growing up helping take care of her six siblings. Margarette married Buck Loyd on October 16, 1950 in Pauls Valley, and they were happily married for almost 50 years when Buck passed away on March 25, 1998. Margarette enjoyed her beloved dogs, gardening, crocheting and raising beautiful flowers. Going to church brought joy to her as she loved to sing and worship the Lord with gladness. Margarette was a blessing to all her family and to anyone who was fortunate enough to make her acquaintance. Her "spunky" personality and vitality will be well remembered. She will be missed until we all "gather at the river" together.
Margarette is survived by:
Sons – Bob Loyd and wife Jeannie of Yukon; David Loyd and wife Carol; and Kendall Loyd and wife Wendy of Blanchard
