Dathel Louise Clipperton was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on November 25, 1947 to Charlie and Ilona (Martin) Wimberly and passed from this life on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in Oklahoma City. Dathel grew up in Pauls Valley and Plainview, TX with her fondest memories being with her Grandma Bessie.
Dathel graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1966, then went on to Cosmetology school. Her career was as office manager at Clipperton Chiropractic. Prior to that, she was also a reporter for KVLH Radio and served as the police dispatcher for the Pauls Valley Police Department. She retired in 1990, to raise her granddaughter Shaylea. Dathel enjoyed coin collecting, reading, going to the lake, and crocheting. The highlights of her life were her husband, raising her children and grandchildren, and spending time with her family. Dathel taught her family how to love unconditionally, how to have the courage and strength to do anything you want to do, and to be compassionate. She always knew how to make others feel loved.
