Obituary

Darrin Ray Kile, a resident of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born on May 23, 1968 in Pauls Valley to Lonnie Kile and Karen Cunnius Kile Ellison. He passed from this life on March 25, 2023 at his home after a brief illness.

Darrin grew up in Garvin County and attended both Wynnewood and Elmore City schools. He graduated as a proud Badger in 1986.

He spent most of his working life involved with big rigs, driving trucks for both Garvin County and Basic Energy Services. He was known for his unmatched work ethic and was a gifted welder. He also farmed and raised cattle.

Darrin's great hobby was the outdoors, to which he was first introduced as a child by both his grandfathers. He became an accomplished fisherman and was an avid hunter and shared the love with family, especially his son, Colby.

In 2019, Darrin was humbled by a near fatal accident which required years of rehab. At the time of his death, he had regained the ability to drive and had even returned to the woods to hunt and fish.

Darrin will be best remembered by those that knew and loved him as a charismatic man who never avoided work or adversity and who always looked for the good in people.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; O.M. and Frankie Kile and Nolen and Lafern Cunnius, as well as cousins Steve Terry and Brandy Kile.

Darrin is survived by a son, Colby Kile of the home, brother Mike Kile and wife Melissa also of Elmore City, a nephew, Ethan Kile and wife Brooke of Elmore City, a niece, Ashley England and husband Ty of Davis and many beloved cousins, including: Bobby Drennan and wife Kristi, Kevin Cunnius, Dustin Terry and wife Kristi and Ricky Wright and Wife Neisha, all of Elmore City, Ed Cunnius of Muskogee, Richard Horton of Dibble, Shannon Kile of Wynnewood and Darrin's very best friend, Carla Edwards of Pauls Valley.
