Danny Joe Davis

Danny Joe Davis of Elmore City, Ok was born December 15, 1947 to Leon E. & Jessie (Primrose) Davis in Pauls Valley, Ok and was called home & received complete healing Friday, June 23, 2006 in Oklahoma City at the age of 58 years. Danny Joe grew up and graduated high school from Elmore City. He obtained his Associates Degree from the Ardmore Higher Education Center. Danny worked as a Gas Measurement Technician. He enjoyed golf, OU football, hunting, fishing and family cookouts. On December 18, 1999 Danny married Joyce Hays in Elmore City. Danny served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received numerous medals. One for going above & beyond the call of duty and participating in more than 25 air missions over hostile territory. The highlights of his life were the birth of his children, marrying Joyce and family get togethers. The most important things he taught others about life were to learn to laugh at yourself, be authentic, work hard, keep your word and most important stay close to your family. Danny is survived by his; Wife: Joyce of the home. Mother: Jessie Davis of Elmore City, Ok 1 Son: Ty Davis & his wife Mary of Norman, Ok 2 Daughters: Nicki Piercey and her husband Jimmy of Oklahoma City, Ok Danna Lauderdale and her husband Cliff of Elmore City, Ok 4 Step-daughters: ShaRonda Beatley and her husband Brian Coon of Elmore City, Ok Crystal Kelso and her husband Marty, Jacinda Kachner and her husband Mike, Julie Holland– all of Stillwater, Ok 3 Brothers: Tony Davis & his wife Linda of Elmore City, Ok Tommy Davis and his wife Debbie of Burneyville, Ok. Steve Davis of Elmore City, Ok 16 Grandchildren Preston & Sheridan Piercey of Oklahoma City, Ok Trey Jones, Casen, Cole & Caleby Lauderdale all of Elmore City, Ok Daniel Beatley of Shreveport, La. Coby Beatley of Davis, Ok Brittney Beatley and Mckenzie Coon of Elmore City, Ok Byron, Jessica, and Dylan Kelso of Stillwater, Ok Hagan and Jace Kachner of Stillwater, Ok Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Elmore City First Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce McCray officiating. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
