Charles Preston Williams

Charles Preston Williams of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Preston and Mary (Felan) Williams on September 02, 1947 in Heavener, Oklahoma and passed from this life on June 01, 2024 in Pauls Valley at the age of 76 years. Charles grew up and attended school in Pauls Valley. He was in the National Guard and attended East Central University. He worked for Dowd & Felt and also Southern Oklahoma Resources Center where he retired. Later on he worked at O’Neals Jewelry and substituted at Pauls Valley Schools. Charles also was a gifted photographer and was often called upon to take pictures of anyone and everyone who asked. He enjoyed showcasing memories with pictures for his friends and family. On March 23, 1973 Charles married Charlotte Hughes in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Unto this union two children were born, Chad Eric and Jessica Hughes. In Charles’ spare time he loved working in the yard, attending and watching sporting events, especially OU. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Avan. He enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends and spending time with his friends and classmates until he was no longer able. Charles is survived by his daughter, Jessica Williams of Norman and companion Joe Johnson of Purcell; his bonus son and daughter, Robert and Courtney Etchison of Pauls Valley and their three children, Avan Butler and Bailey Etchison of Pauls Valley and Chase Kliewer of Clinton, Oklahoma. His siblings, Sammie Williams; Ricky Williams and wife Tammie; Tim Williams and wife Paula; Tony Williams and wife Amber, all of Pauls Valley and Merry Chris Johnston of Norman. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Charles is preceded in death by his father and mother, Preston and Mary Williams; his wife, Charlotte; and son, Chad Williams; his sister, Carolyn Salyer; brother, Mickey Williams; niece, Stormie Roberts; and nephew, Jakob Norman. Memorial Services for Charles will be held at the Crossroads Church in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Brock Carlile officiating.
