Carmen Rene (Barnette) Moore was born on August 15, 1959 in Sumter, South Carolina at Shaw Air Force Base to John and Karen (Stubblefield) Barnette. Carmen lost her battle with cancer on February 13, 2023 in Lewisville, Texas at the age of 63.
The family resided in Oklahoma City where Carmen was the eldest of three siblings. She played volleyball and was on the Homecoming court at Mustang High School where she graduated in 1977. Carmen enjoyed watching the Oklahoma Sooners or the Dallas Cowboys, and her favorite thing was to spend time with family in Oklahoma, or on the beach in Charleston, South Carolina.
Carmen is survived by her two sons, Zach Moore and Colton Barnette; daughter, Savanah Riggs; brother, Corby Barnette; and grandchildren, Maddox Moore, Mia Moore, Jackson Riggs, and Carter Riggs.
Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, John and Karen (Stubblefield) Barnette; her sister, Lori Barnette, and two grandchildren, Maverick & Mack.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma with Curtis Stubblefield officiating. There will be a private family-only visitation at 1:00 p.m. on the day of the service. Interment to follow at Elmore City Cemetery in Elmore City, Oklahoma.
