Brenda Kay Williams was born on November 5, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Eugene Harold and Patsy Lou (Beaver-Maloy) Williams. Brenda passed from this life on April 14, 2024 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 64.
Growing up Brenda loved playing click-clacks, she loved walking on stilts that her dad gave her and her siblings, she loved going skating every weekend and swimming at the Wynnewood pool. Brenda played Basketball, was a Wynnewood cheerleader, and she was also a Lifeguard for the State of Oklahoma. Brenda attended Elementary School all the way through High School in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and graduated in 1978. After High School she attended ECU for a short time studying Physical Education before moving onto her true passion which became her career as a Recreational Therapist at the Pauls Valley State School where she worked for close to 30 years. During her 30 years at the State School, she had a passion for attending the Special Olympics, and supporting all of the kids in attendance. Brenda was one of the top-rated Shuffleboard players in the Country, rated 3rd for Women and top 25 in all players. She was a fierce competitor and loved the game, mentoring so many players. While her children were growing up you could count on her being by their sides whether it was coaching them in their sport or cheering them on in the stands and she got the privilege to do the same for her grandchildren who she loved being Meme for more than anything. Brenda loved taking care of people in their most difficult time of need and she fulfilled that one last time when she chose to be an organ donor and will now get the chance to save so many lives. Brenda will be missed by so many.
