Obituary

Brenda Sue (Cothren) Roby was born on August 22, 1951 in Morenci, Arizona to Troy and Pauline Cothren. Brenda passed from this life on May 6, 2024 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 72.
Brenda grew up and graduated from Wynnewood High School in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. After graduation, she started babysitting, and eventually went onto fulfill her career at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center as a Caretaker until her retirement in 2011 due to her health. Brenda loved taking care of the elderly, she loved taking care of anyone, and she especially loved taking care of her three boys; Rex, Justin, and Jeremy Sumner. The way she presented herself, her home, and her children was a direct representation of the kind of person she truly was; neat, tidy, and respectable. Brenda loved staying in contact and communicating with her family and friends, the people closest to her were the highlights of her life. Mrs. Roby married Richard Neven Roby in February of 2009 in Sherman, Texas. Brenda would always teach others to treat people like they would want to be treated and she was known for always putting others before herself in any situation. She was very thoughtful, and it didn't go unnoticed. Brenda raised three respectable kind young gentlemen and the one thing she always told her boys that still resonates with them to this day is " You gotta forgive and you gotta love!" Brenda will be missed by so many!
