Bill E. Hammond was born July 2, 1957 and left this life on March 8, 2021. Bill was born to Floyd and Mary Lourash Hammond in Sullivan, Illinois. Bill grew up in central and southern Illinois and graduated high school at Kinmundy-Alma High. Bill joined the army after graduation and served in the 101st Airborne 3rd of the 178th Infantry. After discharge he returned to Illinois for a brief time. He moved to Wynnewood, OK in 1983, and this became his home. He worked in the oilfield for a short time. He then returned to school, United Technical Institute, and graduated with honors as a computer technician. Bill worked for various computer companies before going into business for himself. Bill had many loyal customers over the years.
Bill married Donna Eagan on August 20, 1975, and they enjoyed 45 wonderful years together. Bill and Donna had two children, Jennifer Hammond Pettigrew and Bradley (Brad) Hammond of Wynnewood, 4 grandchildren Devin Robertson, Morgan and Forest Hammond and Ty Pettigrew, 2 great-granddaughters Riley and Adeline Robertson.
Bill is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Jennifer and fiancée Tim Newman, his son Brad, grandchildren Devin, Morgan, Forest, Ty, Riley and Adeline, 1 sister Susan Rose of Bethany, Illinois, 2 brothers, Tom and Floyd of Odin, Illinois. As well as many cousins and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Mike and Rick.
Bill was a family man, his greatest joys were his wife Donna, his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and computers, and cooking. Bill was proud of his time serving his country in the U.S. Army.
