Anna Bell Pender, born on April 8, 1954, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, passed away on March 25, 2025, in her hometown, surrounded by those she loved. Anna was the daughter of Charlie Edward Spencer and Mary Elizabeth (Barr) Spencer.
Anna was a woman of quiet strength and unwavering determination. Over the years, she worked with her hands and her heart—sewing boat covers, tending to farm work, and later serving as a security guard at the Wynnewood Refinery for Allied Universal. She dedicated herself to her work, retiring at the age of 70, but her truest joys were found in the simple, honest pleasures of life.
She loved horses, the open air, and all nature. She embraced the world around her with gratitude and reverence, finding beauty in the quiet moments that others might overlook.
Anna loved cooking, known for her fried taters and gravy, her tuna helper, and her shells and tuna—meals made with care and shared with love. But beyond the food she prepared, she nourished those around her with the values she lived by. She taught others to be kind, to be polite, and to always act with purpose.
Her legacy is one of hard work, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the life she was given. Those who knew her will carry her lessons forward, remembering her with love and gratitude. She will be deeply missed.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Barr) Spencer; Sister, Dixie Jorden, and brother, Cliffton Spencer.
Anna is survived by her son, Scott Tomlinson; Brothers, Ray Spencer and wife Linda, John Spencer; Sister, Mary Jo Lints and husband Paul Jones, Sister in Law Kay Spencer; Brother in Law Dean Jorden; grandchildren, Gerik Lovett and wife Bree, and Trever Beauchemin and wife Nikkie.
