Shirley Ann Libich Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Shirley Ann Libich of Lindsay, Oklahoma was born to Ralph Edgar and Ruby Frances (Fain) Lawson on February 2, 1937 in Durant, Oklahoma and passed from this life on September 6, 2014 at her home at the age of 77 years. Shirley grew up and attended school in Hooker, Oklahoma. On July 28, 1951, Shirley married Harold Libich in Clayton, New Mexico. Together they moved from Hooker to Des Moines, Iowa and later made their home in Bellville, Kansas before moving to Elmore City, Oklahoma in 1985. She worked as an EMT and nurses aid in Kansas and was also a substitute teacher at Elmore City High School. Shirley was active in the Boy Scouts in Elmore City. She was a member of the Church of Christ and Eastern Star. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, painting, cooking and shopping on weekends with her family. Mrs. Libich is survived by: Her husband: Harold Libich Son: Rian Libich of Stonewall, Oklahoma 2 daughters: Joyce Kamm and husband Mark of Van Meter, Iowa Pam Adams and husband Ben of Lindsay, Oklahoma 1 sister: Donna Tillery and husband Jim of Elmore City, Oklahoma 7 grandchildren: Doug Kamm, Dennis Kamm, Daniel Kamm, Stacie Brueggeman, Travis Libich, Marshall Libich and LeeAnn Adams 10 great-grandchildren Mrs. Libich was preceded in death by: Son: Michael Dewayne Libich Daughters: Brenda Sue Libich and Kathy Moon Parents: Ralph and Ruby Frances Lawson Sisters: Mary Bourne, Peggy Kammerzell, and Gwen Groves Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Elmore City First Baptist Church with Joe Terrell officiating.
