Richard Saunders

July 29, 1959 - August 1, 2021

Richard Allen Saunders of Byars, Oklahoma was born to Harry E. and Mary (Allen) Saunders on July 29, 1959, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed from this life on August 1, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years. Richard grew up and attended school in Pauls Valley and later finished school at Winder, Georgia. He worked in the oilfield, construction and at the Oklahoma Southern Resource Center. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed fishing, cookouts and mowing his yard. The highlight of his life was time spent with his friends and family. Richard taught us to always do your best and to keep trying. Mr. Saunders is survived by: Sisters: Denise Sharber and Debbie Baker and a host of nieces and nephews Mr. Saunders was preceded in death by parents: Sandy and Mary Ann Saunders. Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
