Rev. Claiborne “Clay” Johnson, Jr. of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Claiborne and Agnus (Simon) Johnson Sr. on September 22, 1943 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and passed from this life on February 12, 2021 in Norman at the age of 77 years. Clay grew up and attended school in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He later attended East Central University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree. In 1985, Clay was ordained a minister. He was pastor at Salem Baptist Church for many years. Clay worked for Ideal Cement Plant from 1973 until 1982 and SORC. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports, news, fishing, and eating good food. Mr. Johnson is survived by: Sons: Claiborne Johnson III of Lawton, Oklahoma Christopher Johnson and wife Patricia of North Richland Hills, Texas Step-sons: William, Jerome, Derrick White and their wives Grandson: Damon Austin of Lawton, Oklahoma A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by: Wife: Wanda Johnson Parents: Claiborne and Agnus Johnson, Sr. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Medical Park West for their loving care. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Wooster funeral Home Chapel.
