November 9, 1930 - January 13, 2022
Rece Neal Weaver was born November 9, 1930, the fourth of seven children of Emma Christian and Harry Weaver. He was a graduate of Fox school, served in the Korean War, and came home to support his mother and younger sisters due to the illness and loss of his father. In March of 1954, Rece married Oneta Penrod and from this union they were blessed with six children: Rheba Weaver Henderson, Karen Weaver, Jana Weaver Horton, Glen Weaver, Pam Weaver Gregg, and Randy Weaver. He worked as an oilfield pumper for over 25 years. He loved his family; his home was the focal point of frequent family gatherings and great times. He was a man of faith, loved his church, and dedicated to raising his family to know the Lord. Rece was a domino player. You could find him at a friendly game around the dining room table, mornings at Sulphur senior citizens and at the Carnegie World Championship Domino Tournament, which he competed in for over 50 years. And he was always a loyal, forever optimistic, Cubs fan. To cherish his memory he leaves 5 children; Rheba Weaver Henderson of Sulphur; Janna Weaver Horton of Sulphur, Glen Weaver of Enos; Pam Weaver Gregg of Sulphur; Randy Weaver and his wife Beth of Loco; 15 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, & 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters: Doris Garner of Merced, California; Carolyn Hayes of Norman; and Mary Jones of Mannsville. Preceding him in death: his wife, Oneta; his parents; brothers, Leon (Buck) & Harry (Cotton) Weaver; sister, Junevar Manek; daughter, Karen Weaver; and grandsons, Kyle Weaver & Elliot Henderson. Rece departed this life on January 13, 2022. His smile, kindness and gentle nature will be missed
