Mildred Curtis of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to James Franklin and Eva Victoria (Evans) Rusk on March 3, 1922, in Atoka, Oklahoma and passed from this life on September 23, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 97 years. Mildred spent her early childhood years in Texas and attended school in Elk City, Oklahoma. On July 22, 1943, Mildred married John Curtis in Abilene, Texas. Mildred was a homemaker, secretary, sales clerk at JCPenney, Bethel Steel Co. during WW II. She was a member of the Pauls Valley Presbyterian Church. In her spare time she enjoyed bridge and Elk activities. The highlights of her life were frequent trips to Las Vegas, participating in Elks Lodge activities, the infamous trip to New York City and spending time with her family. She loved decorating for Christmas and celebrating the season with family and friends. Mrs. Curtis is survived by: Son: John F. Curtis Daughters: Jill D. Beaty and Judy C. Jones Brother-in-law: in Texas 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by: Her husband: John R. Curtis Parents, 1 brother and 5 sisters Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Mt.
