Joe D. Potts of North Richland Hills, Texas, formerly of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Jewell Leo and Fan Jo (Warren) Potts on February 19, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 24, 2022 in North Richland Hills, Texas at the age of 82 years. Joe grew up and attended school in Elmore City, Oklahoma. On December 20, 1959, Joe married Marqueita Stubblefield in Elmore City, Oklahoma. He worked as a systems operator for Texas Utilities, retiring in 1992. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed fishing, golfing, and hunting. The highlights of his life were his grandchildren. The most important thing he taught others was to know Jesus. Mr. Potts is survived by: Wife: Marquieta Stubblefield Potts of the home Daughters: Debbie Moon and husband Robbie and Donna Moon and husband Randy 4 grandchildren: Taylor Moon; Kali Ritchie and husband Jimmy; Elliott Moon and wife Alyssa; and Graham Moon 1 great-grandchild: Adaleigh Ritchie Mr. Potts was preceded in death by: Parents: Jewell Leo and Fan Jo Potts Brothers: Emory, Phillip and Gerald Potts Sister: LoRita Potts Connelly The family requests memorials be made to In Search Of The Lord’s Way, Television Ministry of the Edmond Church of Christ, P. O. Box 371, Edmond, OK 73083-0371 Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Curtis Stubblefield officiating.
