Jimmie David Townsend

Jimmie David Townsend of Noble, Oklahoma was born to J. D. and Helen (Rouse) Townsend on February 6, 1952 in Odessa, Texas and passed from this life on November 28, 2013 in Noble, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years. Jimmie grew up and attended school in Pernell, Oklahoma and later attended East Central University. Jimmie worked at Michelin Tire in Ardmore, Oklahoma for twenty years, retiring in December of 2012. On January 2, 2009, he married Jo Anne Cops in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, driving his tractor, and was an avid OU fan. The highlights of his life were when his sons were born. Mr. Townsend is survived by: Wife: Jo Anne Townsend of the home 4 sons: David Shawn Townsend and wife Misty of Paoli, Oklahoma Joseph Scott Townsend of Ada, Oklahoma Calvin Bradley Chaffin of Ft. Worth, Texas Kevin Paul Chaffin and wife Sara of Davis, Oklahoma 2 daughters: Krista Noel Thompson and husband Eric of Norman, Oklahoma Staci Gayle Odom of Sulphur, Oklahoma 1 brother: Doug Townsend and wife Joanie of Wynnewood, Oklahoma 9 grandchildren His beloved English bulldog, Daisy Mr. Townsend was preceded in death by: His parents: J. D. and Helen Townsend Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sammy Roberts officiating.
