Eva Forehand

Eva Pauline Forehand was born on March 25, 1931, to William and Ina (Graves) Smith in Katie, Oklahoma. Eva passed from this life on February 7, 2023, in Noble, Oklahoma surrounded by those she loved. Eva graduated High School from Elmore City High School in 1949. After graduation she met the love of her life, Curtis Forehand and they were married in 1952 and were married until his passing on December 2, 1992. From this marriage there were two daughters, Jeannean and Pamela, and three children whom they raised as their own; William, Shirley, and Brenda. Eva loved working in the First Baptist Church of Elmore City. She loved being able to volunteer her time in the children's ministry and helping anyone she could. Eva would spend a lot of nights with the elderly at their homes if they needed someone to stay with them overnight and it never bothered her to serve others in their time of need. She loved cooking; her family says that she made the best homemade hot rolls. Eva worked at the body shop with her husband and she ran the paint store for several years as well. The highlight of Eva’s life would always be her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was always most excited when there was going to be a family gathering. She will be missed by so many. Eva is survived by her Daughter Jeannean Radtke of Noble, Oklahoma; “Daughter” she raised as her own, Shirley Short and husband Terry of Opelika, Alabama; Brother, Jerry Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Sister, Dorothy Carlton of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Ruth Rowland of Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Eva is preceded in death by her parents William Smith and Ina (Graves) Smith; her husband, Curtis Forehand; her daughter, Pamela Forehand; her “children” she raised as her own, William Hopson and Brenda Norrell; brothers, Bob Smith, Tommy Smith; and her sisters, Lola Deal, and Anna Lee Smith. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home and are scheduled for Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Elmore City, Oklahoma with Interment immediately following at Elmore City Cemetery.
