Ethel Lorene Branum

Ethel Lorene Branum of Lake Charles, Lousiana entered her heavenly home Wednesday, March 16, 2022. She entered this life on August 27, 1927 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, born Ethel Lorene Boney and lived to be 94 years old. Ethel served with her husband Rev. Alfred Branum in his ministry. The couple traveled to many places in the United States as he brought the gospel to many folks in many locations. The couple moved in their retirement to Lake Charles, Louisiana where he preceded her in death on June 5, 2010. She was an artist and taught her grandchildren to enjoy art. Oil painting was the medium she preferred. She taught others to remember "there are no mistakes in art." . She also loved to crochet and taught others to crochet. Ethel loved the beach. The times she spent gathering shells and rocks while walking on the beach were favorite times. Ethel collected rocks from all their travels. Ethel leaves to cherish her memories: Sons: Preston Eugene Branum and wife Mary Harold Ray Branum and wife Vickie Grandchildren: Kevin Branum and wife Lee Ann, Wendy Geesling and husband Jon, Jason Branum and wife, Misti and Susan Buller and husband Dave 12 Great-grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Raymond, O.J., Joel, J.A. and Paul Boney and her sister, Annie E. Boney
