Flora Ellen Fullerton, a Pauls Valley resident for forty five years passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 in Plano, Texas at the age of 75. She was born on August 23, 1939 in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Bernie Carl Stauffer and Effie Pauline Henry. Ellen was preceded in death by her third husband Jim Fullerton in February 2012. They were married on August 24, 2002, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She was also preceded in death by her second husband Jack Campbell on June 14th, 1995. They were married on May 16, 1970 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Ellen graduated from high school in Pryor, Oklahoma in 1957. She then graduated with a Business Accounting degree from Oklahoma State University in 1960. She went on to receive her education credentials from San Diego State College in 1963 and a Master’s in Education from East Central University in 1980. She loved teaching and worked for 22 years in the Paul’s Valley Public Schools Ellen received the Pauls Valley teacher of the year award in 1985 and retired in 1998. Ellen was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pauls Valley for almost 40 years. She loved to sing in the choir as well as serving on various committees. She also served as church secretary. Ellen spent many years volunteering at the Pauls Valley Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and was able to visit countless locations in the US, Caribbean, Middle East and Europe. Survivors include her brother Kenny Henry, two sons Jeff Hooper and Kris Hooper, and five grandchildren. Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, with the Rev. Mark Watson officiating. Burial will be at Pauls Valley Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
