Connie Ranier Fitzgerald

March 8, 1943 - January 21, 2022

Connie Ranier Fitzgerald of Paoli, OK entered eternal life on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the age of 78 years. Connie was born to Howard C. and Donna M. (McFarland) Moses in Springfield, OH on March 8, 1943. She spent her childhood in California and graduated high school in Ohio. She was a Hertz representative at the Los Angeles airport. Connie and Patrick Fitzgerald were married on January 12,1972 in Wisconsin. The couple shared 50 years of life together. She was a housewife. The couple worked together to establish Fitzgerald Cutting Horses. Connie had a passion for showing horses. A typical day for her would begin at early morning, daybreak. She would saddle her gray gelding and head out to the pastures to bring in the mares. Once the mares were penned, she would work with Dr. Nolan to determine the breeding status of each of them. The couple operated a stallion station for breeding 200 to 300 mares a year February through June to one of their 3 stallions. The mares were brought to the ranch and kept until successful breeding was guaranteed. The highlights of Connie’s days were training and showing horses and times when she and Pat could get away for special time for a while. Connie had a very strong work ethic. She was a person of solid faith; loved folks and wanted the best for everyone. She was certainly on the strong-willed side. Connie is survived by her husband, Pat, son, John, and brother Darrell Moses. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Anderson. Services to remember and give thanks for the life of Connie Ranier Fitzgerald are scheduled for Friday, January 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley officiated by Shannon Hall.
