Byron "Zim" Boyd

Byron Zimbalist Boyd, 57, Springfield, Missouri left his earthly body on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Cox South Hospital. The son of (the late) Claud Boyd Jr., and Nealie Boyd was bon April 25, 1964 in Wichita, Kansas. He attended both Parkview and Kickapoo High Schools where he graduated. He attended Vatterott Education Center where he graduated with a Certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). He is survived by his mother of Springfield, Mo., Three sisters: Mahalia Boyd (Springfield), Melba Boyd (San Diego, CA), Trudy (Boyd) and Andrew Francis, brother-in-law (St. Louis) and Myron Boyd (Springfield), Also, he has many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Zim had many interests and hobbies including: gardening, fishing, biking, and riding dirt bikes. He love sports especially the Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals, and Oklahoma Sooners. Taco Tuesday was a day he looked forward to every week. Sci-Fi Saturday was an all-day event watching Old-school classics. Visitation is Wednesday, April 27th at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 West Battlefield, Springfield, Mo., 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A second visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 29th at Wooster Funeral Home, 1601 S. Chickasaw St., Pauls Valley, Ok. 73075, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm. Services are scheduled for Saturday, April 30th 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church, Tatums, Ok., at 11:00 am under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Interment will be at Little Flock Cemetery, Elmore City, Ok. Immediately following the service and interment, meals will be serviced at Tatums Municipal Building, Tatums, Ok. Rev.
