Violet Britt

Violet Mae Britt of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Otto and Mable (Brown) Kellerhaus on May 22, 1935, in Porterville, California and passed from this life on February 7, 2023, in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. Violet grew up in California where she spent time on a fruit farm, 10 acres of peach trees, apricots, etc. Violet was a workaholic. She loved planting flowers, enjoyed sewing, and milked her cows up until 1994. Violet was a foster grandparent teacher at Joy, Oklahoma. She worked as a CNA for home health out of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She and her husband A. J. Britt enjoyed going to singing and dacnes at VFW where A. J. played guitar and sung. The highlight of her life was her grandchildren that she loved so much! Mrs. Britt is survived by: Sons: Benny Barnes of Elmore City, Oklahoma Robert Barnes of Elmore City, Oklahoma Daughters: Sharon Edwards and husband Jerry of Elmore City, Oklahoma Evelyn Edwards of Elmore City, Oklahoma Grandchildren: Jerry Wayne Edwards, Jr; Sheila Mae Edwards; Tina and Trent Tucker and their 4 girls and 2 boys; Ashley and Jeff Doud of Texarkana and their 2 girls and 1 boy; Amber and Zackery Kahle of Orange, TX; Megan and Rockey Wright and their 2 boys and 1 girl of Maysville, OK; Mickel Alpha and Lisa and their 3 girls of Livingstone, TX; Christie Edwards and her 3 children of Sumner, WA; Richard Jr. and Candace Edwards of Elmore City, OK and their 6 children; and Donny and Lela Edward and their 3 girls and 1 boy of Elmore City, OK. Great-grandchildren: Aiden Wagers; Gavin Wagers; Shyli Edwards; Kasen Edwards; Jordan Jack Bowerman; Taylor Bowerman; Austin Bowerman; and Alexa Kelly Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by: Husbands: Bennie Barnes; Dewey Dale and A.
