Tommy Ray Knight

Tommy Knight, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 6, 2026. Born in Lawton, Oklahoma, on January 1, 1959, Tommy was the cherished son of Guy and Doris Knight. He was a man of integrity and kindness, known for his generous spirit and unwavering dedication to those he loved. From a young age, Tommy was involved in the world of automobiles, learning the fine details of body work from his dad at Guy’s Body Shop. He graduated from Lawton High School in 1977, and soon after, he set out to make a name for himself. As a perfectionist, Tommy became known as “the best body man in the world!” His work, which took him from Lawton to Dallas, was a testament to his patience and craftsmanship. Every project he undertook was done correctly, and if it wasn’t perfect, he would start over and make it right. Later in life, Tommy explored the open road, trying his hand at trucking. However, his heart remained with the craft he learned as a young man, and he returned to his roots, forever a perfectionist in his trade. Tommy was deeply connected to his faith, he attended Calvary Assembly of God church in Lawton with his mother. His relationship with Jesus was comfort and purpose in his spirituality, leading him and guiding him. He was a man of many interests, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. An enthusiastic golfer, Tommy spent countless hours on the golf course with friends. He loved movies, both old and new. When time allowed, he would spend an entire day at the theatre, losing himself in every film shown- a testament to his love for storytelling and adventure. Tommy was preceded in death by his loving parents, Guy and Doris Knight, and his brothers, Jerry and Kent Knight of Lawton, Oklahoma. He leaves behind a family who adored him, including his brother Frankie Knight and wife Sue, brother Steven Knight and wife Sherry, brother Greg Knight and wife Marsha of Mustang, brother Michael Knight and wife Carol, sister Karen Cunningham and husband Joe, all residing in Lawton. His life also touched the hearts of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, including Eva Brown, Christina Fowler, Sandra White, and his best friend, Rodney Agnew. Tommy’s generosity knew no bounds. He was a man who would give you the shirt off his back, always willing to help those in need. His kindness and warmth left an undeniable mark on everyone he met, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him. In following his wishes, a private memorial service will be held. While Tommy will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in the hope that they will see him again very soon. As they grieve the loss of a truly remarkable man, they celebrate a life lived with love, laughter, and strong faith. Tommy Knight, forever in our hearts, is now in the arms of Jesus, where his spirit will continue to shine.
