Sylvia Ann Kraft

Sylvia Ann Kraft was born to George Clifford Lindsey and Pearlie Mae (Caldwell) Lindsey on April 5, 1935 in Wynnewood, OK and entered eternal life on January 30, 2015 in Pauls Valley, OK. Sylvia was raised on a farm and loved working in the fields with her father. She chopped and picked cotton, chopped and stripped corn, stripped sorgum and also worked in the broomcorn fields. She attended and graduated from Wynnewood High School and went on to attend and graduate from Hillcrest School of Nursing. On September 4, 1955 she married the love of her life, Kenneth Kraft in Wynnewood, OK whom she loved more than life itself, at the Methodist Church. Sylvia continued her nursing career, working at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK and Okmulgee Hospital, as well as, Rebold Manor Nursing Home. In April of 1988, Sylvia retired from the Pauls Valley State School after 30 years of service in nursing. She was involved in many clubs and organizations. She was the past president of the Garvin-Murray County Licensed Practical Nurses, and also a member of the Valley Homemakers Extension Club. Sylvia had many hobbies such as sewing, arts and crafts, flowers, and fishing. She also loved to sing in the choir at the First Baptist Church and have “Granny Days” with her grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks for the care given from the Willows, Pauls Valley Health Care Facility and Pauls Valley General Hospital. Mrs. Kraft is survived by: 2 Sons: Philip Kraft of Norman, OK and James Kraft of Pauls Valley, OK Daughter: Lori Harper of Pauls Valley, OK 10 Grandchildren: Ellen Kraft, Kenny Kraft, Lisa Elliott, Jerry Kraft, Chessley Elliott, Josh Kraft, Tiarra Harper, Kelby Harper, Kaitlynn Sanders, Kaycee Kraft, 8 Great-Grandchildren: Kambry and Taisley Sanders, Brantley Kraft, Silvia Kraft, Kaden, Kason and Krosby Kraft, and Mateo Kraft. And brothers and sisters She is preceded in death by: Parents: George Clifford Lindsey and Pearlie Mae Lindsey Husband: Kenneth Kraft Sister: Georgia Mae McCarty Grandchild: James Allen Kraft Funeral services for Sylvia Ann Kraft are scheduled for Monday, February 2nd, 2015 at 2:00p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joe Elam officiating.
