Shirley Worsham

Shirley Worsham April 23, 1939-April 25, 2024 Shirley Worsham of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Fern (Mann) Lee and Carl Lee on April 23, 1939 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed away from this life on April 25, 2024 in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years. Shirley grew up and attended school at Pernell, Oklahoma. She met and married the love of her life, Dean Worsham. They were married in Ardmore, Oklahoma, on August 24, 1957. Together they made their home in Elmore City, Oklahoma. Shirley was the owner and operator of Shirley's Daycare which later after the birth of grandkids, became Mammy's Daycare. She touched and enriched the lives of many children who entered her home. Not only did she feed them and sometimes clothe them, she always showed them Jesus's love. When you came to Shirley's house, if you ever left hungry, it was your own fault, because she was always trying to get you to eat and there was always sweet tea in the "ice box." Her favorite things were her family and friends, camping trips, gardening, getting flowers from her secret admirer, and hamburger dates with her best friend, Eulene. Shirley is survived by one Son, Larry Worsham of Elmore City, Oklahoma; two Daughters Teri Huebner and husband Art of Elmore City, Oklahoma; Angie Worsham and Wade Winkler of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; one Sister Patsy Morris of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two Sisters-in-Love Bunny Lee of Hennepin, Oklahoma; and Golinda Lee of Mexia, Texas; and one Brother-in-Love Lendell Bass of Edmond, Oklahoma. Eight Grandchildren: Aaron Allison and wife Meghan; Rhiannon Barton and husband Billy; Ryker Worsham; Allison Worsham; Logan Tatum and husband Dylan; Rylee Hisaw and Braxton McDaniel; Larrett Winkler; and Laren Winkler Seven Great Grandchildren: Hannah Horn; Lyndsay Rios; Brennen Allison; Braiden Barton; Blaiklyn Barton; Lainey McDaniel; and Grant Tatum Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Fern Lee, two brothers, Larry Lee and Arnold Keith Lee, one sister LaWanda Bass, her husband of 62 years, Dean Worsham, their daughter Sheri Rene' Worsham, and granddaughter Molli Rene' Allison. The family would especially like to thank Ann and Sam Bray for their care and love that they gave our Mom in the last few months of her precious life. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th at the First Baptist Church in Elmore City, Oklahoma with Joe Terrell officiating. Interment will be in the Elmore City cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
