Loranzy Ray Aldridge

Loranzy Ray Aldridge of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to L. L. (Bill) and Georgia Glee (Austin) Aldridge on January 17, 1926 in Wagoner, Oklahoma and passed from this life on November 26, 2008 at his home at the age of 82 years. Ray graduated from Okay High School in Okay, Oklahoma in 1944. During World War II, Ray served his country as a medic and participated in the liberation of Buchanwald in Germany. In 1948, he made his home in Elmore City, Oklahoma. He was a pipefitter and retired from Kerr McGee in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Ray was a member of the Church of Christ in Elmore City for over 60 years where he served as a teacher, song leader and Elder. Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Iris. On July 7, 1999, he married Marie Oller in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. In his spare time he enjoyed farming, traveling, and singing gospel music. The most important things Ray taught others about life were to do the best with whatever you had and put others first. Mr. Aldridge is survived by his wife, Marie of the home.Mr. Aldridge was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Ray Aldridge and is survived by his son, Darron Ray Aldridge of McAlester, Oklahoma and his two daughters, McKaya Rhae and Brooklyn. Also survived by; Sons and their families: Rodney Aldridge and his wife Cindy of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and their children, Hunter Aldridge and Darrell (Drew) Aldridge of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Joey Aldridge of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Melanie Cordes and her husband Matt of Clarksville, Tennessee and their children, Chelsea and Braden. Vance Aldridge and his wife Kim and their son Gregory of Dibble, Oklahoma One brother: W. E. (Ellis) Aldridge of Wellston, Oklahoma One sister: Melva Jean Hall of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma Marie’s children: 2 sons: Bob Oller and his wife Terrie of Wynnewood, Oklahoma Don Oller and his wife Debbie of Caddo, Oklahoma 3 daughters: Debbie Martin and her husband John of Vian, Oklahoma Pam Strickland and her husband Buddy of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma Joni Oller of Pernell, Oklahoma 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren A host of family and friends Mr. Aldridge was preceded in death by; His wife of 48 years: Iris 1 son: Darrell R.
